This opportunity is suited to a senior planning professional supporting major EPC and PMC projects across oil and gas, petrochemical, LNG, power and infrastructure environments. The role focuses on integrated project scheduling, progress measurement, delay analysis and schedule risk management, with strong use of Primavera P6 and critical path method planning. This position offers broad project exposure across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up phases, with direct impact on delivery performance and milestone achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of integrated project schedules across major project phases.
Establish planning standards, procedures and reporting requirements for project delivery.
Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up activities.
Review contractor schedules, logic sequences, resource loading and critical path activities.
Monitor schedule performance and forecast milestone achievement and project completion dates.
Track progress against approved baselines and identify schedule deviations or slippages.
Produce weekly and monthly planning reports, dashboards and schedule presentations for stakeholders.
Evaluate contractor progress updates, recovery plans and schedule assumptions.
Perform critical path analysis, schedule impact assessments and delay analysis.
Review Extension of Time submissions and support schedule-related claims assessment.
Identify schedule risks and bottlenecks and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
Support planning during construction, commissioning, handover and start-up activities.
Coordinate planning interfaces with contractors, vendors and project stakeholders.
Lead planning review meetings, schedule workshops and progress discussions.
Manage, mentor and develop planning personnel while promoting planning best practice.
Required Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (Required).
Required Experience:
Minimum 15 years of project planning and scheduling experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience on major EPC and PMC projects.
Minimum 5 years in a lead planning, planning management or project controls leadership position.
Experience across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up phases.
Experience managing planning teams on large multidisciplinary projects.
Industry experience in oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical and refining, power generation, renewable energy, industrial manufacturing, mining and minerals, steel and metals, or infrastructure projects.
Required Skills:
Expert knowledge of Primavera P6.
Advanced Critical Path Method scheduling capability.
Strong schedule risk analysis and resource planning skills.
Experience in progress measurement and schedule reporting.
Capability in delay analysis and forensic schedule assessment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to manage changing priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to identify project bottlenecks and propose proactive mitigation strategies.
Strong stakeholder coordination and presentation skills across project teams and contractors.
Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Experience on projects exceeding USD $500M preferred.
Microsoft Project experience desirable.
Power BI experience desirable.
