RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), Standards & Regulations
- Ensure and maintain compliance and implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) by establishing a Project Quality Plan (Topside & Hull) in alignment with ISO 9001 and contract requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication of project quality requirements, specifications, standards, and inspection expectations across all project disciplines to ensure compliance and successful project delivery.
- Ensure all project activities comply with contractual quality requirements and statutory regulations.
- Keep up to date with revisions in standards and advise the project team accordingly.
- Review of all quality deliverables i.e procedures, NCR close-out, Quality MOM, to ensure alignment with contract requirement, client specification and statutory requirements.
- Ensure the integration of quality requirements into vendor and subcontractor documentation.
- Support quality improvement programs by identifying performance gaps and monitoring the effectiveness of implementation to drive operational excellence, enhance stakeholder satisfaction, and ensure alignment with company quality objectives.
- Set and monitor quality performance indicators and trends for Hull and Topside by collecting and analyzing NCRs and Quality KPI (QKPI) to provide visibility to management on QA performance and support decision-making for improvements.
- Identify and report Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Punch List items, ensuring timely closure.
- Investigate root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective actions
- Analyse NCR register for trending and recommend improvement/ corrective/ preventive action.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, discipline engineers, and subcontractors on QA matters.
- Represent and engage quality interests in discussions and cross functional activities by providing QA representatives during visits, meetings, and programs to ensure stakeholder confidence in quality performance and alignment with quality expectations.
- Participate in project progress meetings, highlighting QA performance and risks.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct site walkabouts and surveillance to ensure all construction activities and workmanship comply with approved procedures, specifications, and client requirements.
- Plan and perform internal audits and participate in client/third-party audits, addressing any findings promptly. Prepare audit report.
- Analyse subcontractor performance against quality requirements and recommend improvement action.
- Represent QAQC Manager or attend project meetings, site inspections, audits, client engagements, and other project-related activities as required.
- Coordinate and provide technical guidance to inspectors to ensure effective execution of inspection activities.
- Monitor, evaluate, and facilitate solutions for quality issues raised during project execution, ensuring timely closure or escalation to relevant management levels when required.
- Ensure inspection reports and quality documentation are reviewed, approved, and endorsed by relevant stakeholders.
- Support resource planning and recommend appropriate manpower requirements to meet project quality objectives.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years’ of relevant experience in project quality planning, supervision and design work associated with offshore oil/gas production and processing facilities with at least three (3) FPSO project experience.
- Familiar with welding, non-destructive testing, CLASSIFICATION and relevant Codes and Standards.
- Able to plan, organize, co-ordinate and delegate the workforce for the execution of quality control and inspection.
QUALIFICATION:
- Possesses recognized B.Sc. or B.E. degree in a relevant branch of engineering or equivalent
