Join a leading engineering firm in the subsea industry as a Lead Subsea Structural Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design and engineering of subsea structures, ensuring their functionality and successful installation while collaborating with various disciplines and clients.

Role Overview

  • Lead subsea structural engineering and design interface with other disciplines and clients.
  • Provide high-level expertise in structural aspects of projects, including calculations, analysis, and design verification.
  • Interface with and lead a team of engineers, including pipelines, geotechnical/foundation, and subsea production specialists.
  • Gather, prepare, and develop engineering studies, numerical analysis calculations, and technical reports.
  • Participate in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews to incorporate requirements into structural designs.
  • Utilize commercial numerical/Finite Element analysis software (e.g., FS2000, SACS, ABAQUS) for design preparation.
  • Assess project risks during constructability and instability reviews, as well as during design and execution phases.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Expertise in subsea engineering and structural engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in numerical/Finite Element analysis software such as FS2000, SACS, and ABAQUS.
  • Strong understanding of UK and International design standards and codes.
  • Knowledge of subsea hardware and production systems, including manifolds and various structures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with engineers of diverse backgrounds and seniorities.
  • Proactive team player with a positive attitude towards achieving project goals.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Professional (or seeking professional) status in engineering.
