This opportunity is based on a major construction site and focuses on driving effective workface planning, installation work packages, and project execution through the O3 solution WFP tool. The role is suited to a technically strong construction planning professional who can improve productivity, support safe delivery, and coordinate closely with subcontractor planning teams. This position offers the chance to influence construction efficiency through detailed planning, constraint removal, and structured field execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead implementation of workface planning processes on site in line with project requirements, including training and coaching subcontractor teams in workface planning methods and use of the O3 tool.
Ensure subcontractor planning teams apply a detailed planning process and remove site constraints so installation work packages can be issued to work crews without holds.
Convert construction work packages into detailed installation work packages, ensuring required resources are available before field release.
Use the O3 solution WFP tool to support project execution, improve efficiency, and strengthen safe delivery.
Coordinate with project schedulers, engineers, superintendents, and managers to support integrated planning and execution.
Embed safety regulations and quality standards into planning activities to support compliance and risk reduction.
Oversee creation, review, and execution of installation work packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and ongoing adjustment where required.
Provide guidance and support to workface planning teams to encourage effective collaboration and strong delivery standards.
Review completed work packages, identify improvement opportunities, and support implementation of best practice for future activities.
Must-Have Skills:
Experience in construction with a strong emphasis on construction planning and field supervision, including experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Advanced knowledge of workface planning processes.
Proven ability to develop and manage installation work packages from construction work packages.
Proficiency with the O3 solution WFP tool or similar workface planning software.
Advanced knowledge of construction planning software, earned value management, material management systems, document management, timekeeping systems, and 3D model visualisation tools.
Strong understanding of construction processes.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
CSCS Card (Required) — Gold or academically qualified card accepted.
Site Safety Medical plus Drug & Alcohol Screening (Required).
Nice-to-Have:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (Preferred).
Relevant certifications in construction planning and safety (Preferred).
