Job Title: Lease Operator II
Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension / go direct
Schedule: To be confirmed - initially 7/7 rotation 
Location: Anahuac, Texas

This opportunity is focused on the safe and efficient operation, monitoring and maintenance preparation of wells, processing units and related facilities within an oil and gas environment. The role supports facility start-up activities and day-to-day field operations, with particular emphasis on oil, gas and water separation facilities, utilities, process monitoring and safe work permitting. This position offers the chance to make a direct operational impact through equipment surveillance, production data accuracy, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.

Required Experience:

  • At least 3 years of Lease Operator / Production Technician experience.
  • Experience operating and monitoring wells, processing units and related field facilities in an oil and gas environment.
  • Practical experience with oil, gas and water separation facilities operations and associated utilities.
  • Experience supporting facility start-up and ongoing operations in field-based production environments.
  • Experience working independently while coordinating with operational leadership on changing process conditions.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of process flow, operating conditions, major line-ups and unit safety equipment, including isolation points.
  • Ability to inspect and monitor equipment and work areas using visual observation, hearing, smell and touch to confirm correct operation.
  • Capability to issue Safe Work Permits and assess chemical, personnel and process safety risks within operating units.
  • Competence in gas testing to confirm work areas are safe for maintenance activities.
  • Experience monitoring process performance through gauge tanks, meter readings, product sampling, differential pressure checks and chemical injection rate tracking.
  • Ability to monitor and adjust local process parameters such as temperature and pressure to maintain product specification and operating efficiency.
  • Experience maintaining accurate electronic or paper gauge sheets and documenting reasons for production changes.
  • Ability to check valve positions and carry out basic equipment maintenance, including lubrication, tightening valve packing, changing filters and clearing equipment.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment, hand-held monitors and computer monitoring equipment used in field operations.
  • Strong commitment to safety, environmental procedures, reliable attendance, continuous improvement and team support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in new facilities start-up and operations is highly desirable.
