Airswift is currently partnering with a leading WA engineering contractor to recruit experienced Laggers / Sheet Metal Workers for ongoing marine and defence-related projects based in Henderson.
These positions offer consistent work, overtime opportunities and the chance to work on specialised marine maintenance projects while being home every night. No FIFO.
About the Role
Working within a busy marine and industrial environment, you will be responsible for:
- Installation and replacement of insulation on pipework, valves and flanges
- Application of Armaflex insulation systems and sealing products
- Installation of Rockwool insulation on exhaust systems
- Removal and replacement of non-structural bulkhead and deck-head panels
- Fabrication and installation of cladding and flashings
- Supporting marine maintenance and new-build projects
- Working closely with multiple trades to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
What You'll Need
- Minimum 3 years' experience in maritime maintenance
- Experience within defence, commercial marine or shipyard environments
- Strong lagging and insulation experience
- Sheet metal fabrication and installation experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Team-focused attitude and willingness to work across different trades and departments
- Current Driver's Licence
- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
