Lifting Appointed Person

Airswift is seeking for Lifting Appointed Person to work with our client based in Abu Dhabi for Oil and Gas industry.

Contract Duration: 6 months (Renewable)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/ bachelor’s degree required

EXPERIENCE

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

  • Valid/Certified Approval as Appointed Person – Offshore & Onshore.

  • Relevant Lifting & Rigging certifications such as OPITO / LOLER / CPCS / BS 7121, as applicable.

  • Valid BOSIET / FOET and Offshore Medical certification.

  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in lifting operations, preferably within ADNOC / Oil & Gas projects.

  • Proven experience in preparing and reviewing lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, and executing critical lifting operations.

  • Ability to lead and supervise Crane Operators, Riggers, and Banksmen and ensure safe lifting practices across project locations.

  • Strong knowledge of international lifting standards, regulations, and lifting engineering practices, with the ability to interpret requirements and implement effective change management.

  • Completion of the 4-day Appointed Person Course through an ADNOC Offshore-approved training provider, using an approved tutor.

  • The candidate must have training and assessment relevant to the same type of crane operation involved in the assignment. Please note that the Offshore Appointed Person Course is different from the Mobile Crane Appointed Person Course.

  • Knowledge of lifting equipment inspection and examination requirements. LEEA Entry Exam / Diploma certification will be considered an added advantage.

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with pedestal cranes, mobile cranes, crawler cranes, gantry cranes, and other heavy lifting equipment used in offshore operations.

  • Proficient in preparing lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, and lifting procedures.

  • Strong understanding of ADNOC HSE requirements and lifting compliance standards.
