About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Base Operations Coordinator to support a drilling campaign. This role is responsible for providing safe, reliable and efficient supply base and material movement services, ensuring the effective coordination of freight, equipment, vessel operations and logistics activities within the company area of operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing safe, reliable and efficient supply base and material movement services to the drilling campaign.
  • Act as the point of contact for Perth Logistics and Wells Engineers to arrange equipment pick-up, inspection, recertification and modifications.
  • Coordinate the make-up of shoe joints with local machine shops as directed by Wells.
  • Coordinate resource and equipment scheduling for yard operations.
  • Coordinate and monitor material handling activities for tubulars, ISO tanks and containers.
  • Coordinate and monitor wash pad operations with Tenaris.
  • Oversee freight received into the Supply Base using Kabal.
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reporting.
  • Manage freight movements within the company area of operations and between local vendors.
  • Ensure all manifests and associated documentation are completed prior to freight movement, including Dangerous Goods and offshore lift compliance requirements.
  • Act as the logistics point of contact for after-hours freight enquiries, including hotshot transport and emergency air freight.
  • Oversee third-party freight received into the Supply Base.
  • Coordinate and monitor reverse freight activities for material and equipment returns to vendors.
  • Liaise with other Supply Base operations to ensure continuity of the end-to-end logistics chain.
  • Participate in the planning and engagement of Supply Base service providers to ensure economical, efficient and safe processes are in place to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in identifying Non-Inventory Material for stock or scrap.
  • Coordinate and manage all bulks to be sent offshore.
  • Plan and schedule local vessel operations.
  • Coordinate and monitor all vessel loading and unloading activities.
  • Coordinate and monitor vessel movements in and out of Dampier Port Authority.
  • Actively advocate Operational Excellence (OE) processes.
  • Participate fully in toolbox meetings, safety meetings and provide representation at such forums as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience using Kabal Logistics Software.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling equipment.
  • SAP experience is advantageous.
  • Exposure to Wells and logistics operations environments is advantageous.
