Airswift is looking for a Logistics Advisor III to support a major client in Spring, TX on a 12-month contract
This position sits within a global marine logistics environment supporting commercial and operational activity across worldwide operations. The role involves close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders in a setting where commercial judgement, analytical thinking, and clear communication are essential.
Logistics Advisor III is responsible for supporting the end-to-end coordination of marine logistics activity and helping ensure voyage information is managed accurately and efficiently. This role contributes to the effective movement of cargo and the smooth execution of commercial operations.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and implement safe and efficient marine logistics to support commercial operations.
Provide timely and accurate schedules and voyage related information to stakeholders.
Oversee marine tonnage under various charter agreement and support fleet optimisation activity.
Ensure marine equipment is properly vetted prior to use and support resolution of gaps as needed.
Monitor marine movements and maintain awareness of demurrage implications and oil loss.
Nominate oil movements, prepare documentation instructions, and issue voyage orders and letters of indemnity as needed.
Enter voyage information into order fulfillment / accounting program and maintain accurate information for freight and voyage related charges.
Key Interfaces - Internal: Commercial & Trading, Supply Coordination, Refineries, Logistics Business Development, Controllers, Product Quality, Demurrage Claims, and Marine Quality Assurance
External: Suppliers, Vessel Owners, Charterers, Brokers, Agents, Vessel Officers, Inspectors, and Terminal Operators
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Oil & Gas experience. Examples include hydrocarbon scheduling, voyage operations, chartering, trade settlements, etc.
Strong communications and organizational, and analytical skills.
Responsive to changing priorities.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of transaction accounting and commercial contracts
- Familiarity with the maritime industry
- Prior sailing experience
- Familiarity with hydrocarbon logistics
