Logistics Coordinator II (Materials Management)


Duration:

12 months


Schedule:

30-40 hours per week, preferred start at 7:00-7:30


Location:

Spring, TX

This opportunity supports logistics and materials management activity within a refinery and chemical complex project environment. The role will act as a key interface across engineering, procurement and construction teams, helping to coordinate shipments, planning activity and communication with internal teams, external vendors and third parties. This position offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing operations environment where strong project coordination, logistics planning and Excel capability are important to successful delivery.

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or other technical degree

  • Experience in logistics planning and execution, construction, safety, and procurement

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing operations environment

  • Experience working across multiple teams, external vendors, and third parties in a dynamic planning environment

  • Ability to schedule and maintain internal and external shipments

  • Strong coordination and communication skills across internal teams, external vendors, and third parties

  • Ability to handle a short-term planning environment with changing priorities and signals

  • Strong Excel proficiency

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to enter and manage orders received verbally and via fax or email

  • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations

  • Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts including percentages, proportions, area, and volume, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oil and gas background

  • College degree

  • LIMS knowledge
