Logistics, Fleet and Plant Supervisor

1. ABOUT LABA
Laba Holdings Limited is the umbrella landowner company of Porebada, Boera, Papa and Rea Rea in Central Province, Papua New Guinea, and operates a group of businesses across construction, logistics, training, technology and community services.
These positions form Laba's management team for a camp construction and services package on a major resources construction project in Papua New Guinea, for a 24-month term from contract award. Appointments are subject to contract award.

2. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Logistics, Fleet and Plant Supervisor runs wet-hire fleet utilisation, maintenance and fuel, transport scheduling, and quarry and aggregate haulage. The fleet is the largest single item of imported capital on this contract, and utilisation is what turns it into revenue rather than cost.

3.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Schedule personnel and materials transport and light-vehicle hire against the daily and weekly site demand.
•Drive fleet utilisation and report it weekly. Idle plant is the first thing this position is measured on.
•Own preventive maintenance and servicing schedules, the plant register, and the availability position for every unit.
•Manage fuel supply, storage, dispensing and reconciliation, and keep the fuel loss position within tolerance.
•Schedule quarry and aggregate haulage, including load counts and delivery dockets that support measurement.
•Manage licensing, registration, roadworthiness and driver competency across the fleet.
•Coordinate inbound landed plant, spares and consumables with the offshore procurement structure, and manage receipt and inspection on arrival.
•Enforce journey management, speed and fatigue controls, and investigate every vehicle incident with M4.

4.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
•Eight years or more in fleet, plant or logistics supervision on construction or resource projects.•
Demonstrated management of a mixed fleet of 20 or more units including heavy plant.
•Practical command of preventive maintenance planning and plant availability reporting.
•Fuel management and reconciliation experience.
•Trade qualification (heavy diesel fitter or equivalent) or a logistics or fleet management qualification.
Desirable
•Quarry or aggregate haulage experience.
•Experience receiving imported plant and spares through PNG customs and wharf handling.
•Journey management system experience under an operator's land transport standard.
