Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain MWD/LWD equipment during offshore drilling operations.
- Acquire, process, and transmit real-time downhole drilling and formation evaluation data.
- Perform pre-job planning, tool preparation, calibration, testing, and post-job reporting.
- Monitor drilling parameters and tool performance to ensure data quality and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot downhole and surface equipment issues.
- Support drilling optimization initiatives through accurate data acquisition and interpretation.
- Prepare daily operational reports and communicate key findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Halliburton operational procedures, client requirements, and HSE standards.
- Collaborate with Directional Drillers, Drilling Engineers, Geologists, and Rig Personnel to achieve campaign objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MWD and/or LWD operations within the oil and gas industry.
- Previous Halliburton experience is mandatory (Ex-Halliburton personnel preferred).
- Proven expertise in Advanced LWD Services, particularly:
- Resistivity Formation Services (RFS)
- Formation evaluation and petrophysical data acquisition
- Real-time downhole telemetry systems
- Advanced logging and drilling optimization technologies
- Strong offshore drilling operations experience.
- Experience in HPHT, deepwater, or complex well environments is an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve operational issues in a fast-paced field environment.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work on rotational offshore assignments.
Mandatory Certifications
- Valid BOSIET certification.
- Valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
- Valid H2S certification (preferred).
- Additional offshore survival and safety certifications are advantageous.
