Maintenance Technician I to work for initially One-Year contract in Mansfield, LA.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
This entry level position ensures that the pipeline system is operated and maintained in compliance with all Company and applicable regulatory requirements in order to ensure that equipment is set up to maximize return on investment capital.
- Plan and perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities for gas pipelines, and other related appurtenances.
- Develop spreadsheets and databases to track and analyze pipeline eciencies, DOT compliance issues, O&M costs.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OCC, ODEQ, EPA, FERC, One-Call and other regulatory agencies where applicable. Responsible for all DOT/OCC compliance issues.
- Perform assessments of company facilities to ensure compliance with industry and company O&M procedures and practices.
- Maintain strict surveillance and enforcement of security, safety and environmental rules and procedures at company pipelines.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Expands Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ride all pipelines as part of Expands scheduled inspections, ensuring the integrity of the ROWs, looking for leaks, and encroachments.
- Must communicate well with planners.
Job Specific Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Must be able to travel long distances on a UTV in the elements.
- Must be able to read and interpret computer-based maps.
- Must be able to communicate with the public in a manner fitting to Expand.
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
