Job Tasks:
Communicate facilities performance and reliability issues related to Marine matters, coordinating with facilities Management Team & Marine Engineer based in Luanda.
Participate in Risk Assessments as required.
Planning, coordination and active participation in marine related facility integrity activities, including but not limited to Risk Based Inspection program and facilities Planned Maintenance Program.
Co-ordinate with Facilities regarding forward planning of dates required for booking Classification Society (DNV), and Liaise with Marine Engineer based in Luanda.
Communicate DNV concerns or deficiencies to affected facilities, and assist with resolution.
Co-ordinate with Third Parties as required regarding Marine Tasks & Issues.
Assist Marine Team Offshore with offloading equipment inspections and maintenance
Act as Company Representative when necessary to oversee Third Party work.
Work within client operating standards, procedures

PROFICIENCY PROFILE
Education:
A Recognized Degree Engineering in a mechanical or structural discipline, or Naval Architecture or STCW Marine Officer Qualification.
Experience
:
Preferably
STCW II/2 UNLIMITED Chief Officer, Endorsed for Regulation V/1-1 Advanced Oil Tanker Cargo Operations.
OR
-
STCW III/2 UNLIMITED 2nd ENGINEER.
5 Years Offshore Oil Industry in a Supervisory / Management role.
Technical / Professional Skills:
General Technical Skills
A good level of computer ability and skills are required for this position
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications or similar.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Analytical thinker, enthusiastic, self-directed and customer focused
Sound understanding of business practices and controls.
Must be able to demonstrate a strong safety & security awareness and culture.

Supervisory experience essential
High standard of knowledge with respect to marine systems and able to fault find and detect malfunction.
Emergency response training.

High Level of Understanding of Confined Entry Risks, Hazards, and Mitigation.
Firefighting command and control.
Knowledge of Marine Life Saving Appliances & Survival Craft operation & maintenance.
Ability to Provide Marine Support and duties, or as directed during Emergency Response.
