This opportunity offers the chance to support marine and cargo operations within an offshore and tanker-related environment in the oil and gas sector. The role is suited to candidates with experience in FPSOs, cargo vessels, offshore terminals, and marine systems, with a strong focus on HSSE, control of work, and safe operational performance. This position will contribute to the safe handling of cargo, ballast, bunkering, and associated marine activities in a high-risk operating environment.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months of sea time on cargo vessels with experience in bridge and cargo watchkeeping.

  • Proven experience in marine and cargo operations gained from FPSOs, tankers, or offshore terminals, including cargo transfer, bunkering, and ballast operations.

  • Practical experience working in high-risk offshore or marine environments with a strong commitment to HSSE, operating discipline, and process safety.

  • Experience applying control of work processes, including permits, isolations, and operational handovers.

Required Skills:

  • Proven ability in English, both verbal and written.

  • Practical understanding of marine systems, including cargo, ballast, bunker, and marine auxiliary systems, and their safe operation.

  • Ability to monitor operations, recognise abnormal conditions, and escalate risks in a timely manner.

  • Experience with condition monitoring and the basic care of marine equipment and systems.

  • Clear communication skills for shift handovers, toolbox talks, and effective teamwork within multi-disciplinary offshore or vessel teams.

  • Proactive, safety-focused approach with willingness to maintain competencies and support continuous improvement.

Required Certifications:

  • Officer of the Watch (Deck) STCW II/3 (Required)

  • Basic Training for Oil Tanker and/or LNG Cargo Operations (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Offshore FPSO experience.

  • Multi-discipline experience.

  • Recent seagoing experience of more than 12 months.

  • STCW Advanced Training for Oil Tanker Operations (STCW Reg. V/1-1, Advanced level) (Preferred)

  • Recent oil FPSO or LNGC experience.

  • Experience working at hydrocarbon loading or discharging terminals.

  • ISPS certification or training (Preferred).

  • 2 years of experience as Officer of the Watch (Deck) with STCW II/1 (unlimited) and Dangerous Cargo Endorsement (Oil/Chemical and/or LNG).
