Job Title: Material Coordinator
Duration: 12 Month Assignment with possibility of extension
Schedule: 5/40 Schedule with possibility of OT as required by project from time to time
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
This opportunity is based in a warehouse environment supporting project logistics and materials operations in Anchorage, Alaska. The role focuses on inventory control, materials management, receiving coordination, and accurate record keeping across warehouse and project activities. This position will suit a technically capable professional with experience in SAP, inventory tracking, and warehouse reporting who can support logistics, procurement, and construction stakeholders.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in materials coordination, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain support
- Experience performing inventory tracking, data entry, receiving, and material control activities
- Experience maintaining shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse documentation
- Experience supporting industrial construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, or large project environments
- Experience coordinating with vendors, logistics providers, warehouse personnel, and project teams
Required Skills:
- Strong computer skills and experience using inventory management systems
- Ability to maintain accurate inventory levels and material records within SAP and project tracking systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Ability to process goods receipts, inventory transfers, material issues, returns, and related documentation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders
- Ability to generate inventory reports, receiving reports, material tracking reports, and warehouse metrics
- Ability to perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities
- Ability to identify, store, preserve, and organize materials within a warehouse environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using SAP for inventory control and materials management
- Working knowledge of SAP Materials Management transactions including goods receipts, material transfers, inventory adjustments, material issues and returns, reporting, and reconciliation
- Previous warehouse coordination experience
- Forklift experience
- Experience supporting construction, energy, oil and gas, or industrial projects
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control procedures, and material preservation best practices
