Materials Management Coordination Lead

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days work from home

This opportunity is focused on leading and coordinating Materials Management (MM) activities across a complex energy industry environment. The role provides oversight of inventory management, materials planning, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives while serving as a key point of coordination between Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and project teams. The successful candidate will bring senior-level Materials Management experience and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and business initiatives simultaneously. This position requires strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills to ensure materials management processes support operational reliability, inventory optimization, and overall business objectives

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or another relevant technical discipline

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Materials Management, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline

  • Demonstrated leadership experience coordinating Materials Management activities across multiple stakeholders, business groups, or locations

  • Experience supporting inventory control, inventory optimization, and materials planning initiatives · Experience working within ERP systems, preferably SAP

  • Experience collaborating with Procurement, Finance, Operations, Maintenance, and project teams

  • Experience supporting inventory strategy, spare parts management, and materials lifecycle activities

  • Experience driving process improvements and managing cross-functional initiatives

  • Experience balancing operational priorities while ensuring alignment with business objectives 

Required Skills:

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Materials Management processes and best practices

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and functional teams simultaneously

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and performance metrics

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to influence decision-making within a matrix organization

  • Experience developing and monitoring KPIs related to inventory and materials performance

  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on execution and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, LNG, or energy industries

  • Strong knowledge of SAP Materials Management (MM) processes

  • Understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory accounting principles

  • Experience supporting MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) inventory programs

  • Knowledge of inventory modeling, forecasting, and materials planning practices

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of total cost of ownership principles
