This opportunity is focused on leading and coordinating Materials Management (MM) activities across a complex energy industry environment. The role provides oversight of inventory management, materials planning, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives while serving as a key point of coordination between Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and project teams. The successful candidate will bring senior-level Materials Management experience and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and business initiatives simultaneously. This position requires strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills to ensure materials management processes support operational reliability, inventory optimization, and overall business objectives
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or another relevant technical discipline
Required Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Materials Management, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
Demonstrated leadership experience coordinating Materials Management activities across multiple stakeholders, business groups, or locations
Experience supporting inventory control, inventory optimization, and materials planning initiatives · Experience working within ERP systems, preferably SAP
Experience collaborating with Procurement, Finance, Operations, Maintenance, and project teams
Experience supporting inventory strategy, spare parts management, and materials lifecycle activities
Experience driving process improvements and managing cross-functional initiatives
Experience balancing operational priorities while ensuring alignment with business objectives
Required Skills:
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Advanced knowledge of Materials Management processes and best practices
Ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and functional teams simultaneously
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and performance metrics
Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to influence decision-making within a matrix organization
Experience developing and monitoring KPIs related to inventory and materials performance
Strong organizational skills with a focus on execution and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within the oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, LNG, or energy industries
Strong knowledge of SAP Materials Management (MM) processes
Understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory accounting principles
Experience supporting MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) inventory programs
Knowledge of inventory modeling, forecasting, and materials planning practices
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of total cost of ownership principles
