This opportunity is focused on the accuracy and integrity of volumetric and compositional measurement data that supports revenue allocation and management review in an oil and gas environment. The role involves working with FLOWCAL, TestIT and Power BI, while collaborating with measurement and accounting teams to investigate discrepancies, validate data and support monthly close activities. This position offers the chance to contribute to measurement compliance, data quality and operational performance in a technically driven office-based setting.
Required Education:
- Associate degree from an accredited community college, or completion of a certificate programme in a related technical discipline from an accredited post-secondary school.
- Relevant gas measurement experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Must be within 70 miles from Oklahoma City, OK.
Required Experience:
- Two or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Two or more years of experience analysing and interpreting data, identifying trends and researching variance drivers.
- Two or more years of experience using FLOWCAL, TestIT and Power BI.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of gas measurement fundamentals, including the principles and operation of orifice meters.
- Ability to apply industry standards such as AGA3, API 14.3 and GPA 8185 for orifice measurement, interpret differential pressure readings and use standard calculations to determine gas flow rates.
- Ability to perform pre-close measurement procedures, validate preliminary and closed measurement data, investigate discrepancies and support timely monthly allocations, settlement and balancing.
- Intermediate mathematical skills, including percentages, averages, order of operations, exponents, standard deviations, min/max values and equation solving.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, including use of mathematical and functional formulas in Excel.
- Accurate data entry capability with a high level of attention to detail and organisation.
- Strong written, verbal, listening and comprehension skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sound decision-making, analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify data trends and anomalies and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to wear PPE in the field and follow all safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three or more years of measurement experience within a midstream organisation.
- Three or more years of experience with electronic flow measurement systems, flow computer operation and data acquisition through telecommunication and SCADA systems.
- Experience with the calibration, inspection and troubleshooting of orifice measurement systems.
- Ability to travel under 2% as required.
