Job Title: Measurement Technician 1-3 - Water Measurement
Duration: 1 year initially with possibility of extension / go direct
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day with approved overtime; on-call and weekend work in the future
Location: Permian Midland, Midkiff, Big Lake, San Angelo

This opportunity focuses on supporting water, oil and gas measurement activities in a field-based environment, with responsibility for the installation, maintenance and calibration of measurement equipment. The role will contribute to reliable measurement operations across pipeline and gauge systems, including RTU equipment, radio communications and volumetric measurement processes. This position offers technically varied work for candidates with hands-on experience in instrumentation, calibration and measurement standards.

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in a closely related position and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience working with water, oil and gas measurement systems, including field-based measurement and gauge activities.
  • Practical experience installing, maintaining, calibrating and testing measurement equipment and associated communication systems.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to install, maintain and calibrate measurement equipment.
  • Ability to install and maintain radio equipment and ensure communication uplink.
  • Understanding of water, oil and gas measurement, including orifice, ultrasonic, turbine and Coriolis measurement.
  • Knowledge of AGA measurement standards and applicable API standards.
  • Experience with tank gauging, meter proving, temperature and pressure correction for volumetric measurements, and control charting.
  • Ability to set process controls in the field and processing plants.
  • Ability to perform testing, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostic testing on RTU equipment.
  • Ability to test, calibrate and troubleshoot transmitters on communication equipment.
  • Ability to install and test flow transmitters in the field.
  • Ability to test and check moisture content, gravity and CO2 of gas.
  • Commitment to safety culture and environmental standards.
  • Understanding of measurement record keeping.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred but not required; comparable experience is acceptable.
  • Experience installing and maintaining Fisher ROC and ABB gas measurement equipment.
  • Experience using WinCCU software.
