Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Perth, WA

This opportunity focuses on delivering mechanical design solutions across major iron ore mining infrastructure projects in an established and collaborative project environment. The role supports multidisciplinary engineering teams and contributes to high-quality design documentation for iron ore processing and fixed plant infrastructure. This position offers the chance to work on technically demanding mining and resources projects with a strong focus on operational, project and safety requirements.

Key Required Experience:

  • 6-8 years of mechanical design experience within the mining and resources sector
  • A minimum of 2 continuous years working on a major iron ore project within the last 5 years
  • Experience delivering design work for large-scale iron ore processing, materials handling, crushing, conveying, screening, stockyard, port, rail, or fixed plant infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of project delivery within operating mine site environments
  • Experience producing detailed mechanical design packages and associated documentation

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency using industry-standard design software and 3D modelling tools
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Ability to develop and deliver mechanical design solutions aligned with project, operational and safety requirements
  • Experience on Pilbara iron ore projects
  • Exposure to brownfield expansion projects and sustaining capital programs
  • Background in bulk materials handling systems
  • Experience with fixed plant processing facilities
  • Construction support and site-based project experience
