Job Title: Mechanical / Hydraulic Technician for Flexilay Equipment Preparation
Duration: 3 months - renewable 
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Location: Le Trait, France

This opportunity supports the preparation, maintenance and operational readiness of offshore laying equipment within a specialist workshop environment. The role focuses on mechanical inspections, hydraulic systems, preventive and corrective maintenance, and functional testing for upcoming offshore campaigns. This position offers the chance to contribute to complex equipment preparation work with a company operating across subsea, offshore and surface projects in the energy industry.

Required Experience:

  • Experience working with offshore equipment or heavy industrial equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical and hydraulic inspection, dismantling, reassembly and adjustment of equipment or subassemblies.
  • Experience supporting preventive and corrective maintenance activities in a workshop and field or site environment.
  • Experience participating in functional testing, load testing or Factory Acceptance Test activities.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems and engineering drawing interpretation.
  • Ability to identify required spare parts and support follow-up activities linked to maintenance planning.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to produce clear technical reports and maintain document traceability.
  • Understanding of HSE compliance and adherence to company procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in both workshop and site-based environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of tensioners, laying towers or similar equipment.
