We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Piping Engineer to support a major construction site project in Sabine Pass, Texas. The Mechanical Piping Engineer will act as a senior technical authority for piping systems across design, construction, commissioning, startup, operations support, and brownfield modifications. This Mechanical Piping Engineer opportunity offers the chance to provide leadership in piping engineering, stress analysis, pressure boundary integrity, pipe support, and contractor oversight within a complex industrial environment. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the company’s subject matter expert for piping systems and stress analysis.
- Lead complex technical reviews and support key engineering decisions.
- Review contractor deliverables, piping layouts, specifications, support designs, and stress analysis outputs.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and equipment allowable loads.
- Support fabrication, installation, testing, turnover, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Assess field changes and provide sound engineering recommendations.
- Support NCR resolution, specification deviations, fitness-for-service evaluations, and pressure boundary integrity matters.
- Help maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and industry requirements.

Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Required Experience
- Minimum 15 years of piping engineering experience on major industrial projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior or lead engineering role.
- Experience within LNG, refinery, petrochemical, power generation, or gas processing environments.
- Strong field engineering, construction, commissioning, and startup experience.
- Experience supporting large EPC projects through construction and startup.

Required Skills
- Advanced expertise in piping stress analysis using CAESAR II or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of piping materials, supports, valves, flanges, gaskets, and specialty components.
- Ability to oversee piping engineering activities across design, construction, and operational support.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to resolve complex field engineering challenges and provide technically sound decisions.

Required Certifications
- Working knowledge of ASME B31.1.
- Working knowledge of ASME B31.3.
- Working knowledge of ASME PCC-1.
- Working knowledge of ASME PCC-2.
- Working knowledge of ASME BPVC.
- Familiarity with applicable API, NEMA, ANSI, and ASTM standards.
- Understanding of FERC, PHMSA, and NFPA requirements.
