Job Title: Mechanical Piping Engineer, Package
Duration: 6 months with possible extensions
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Location: Houston, Texas

This opportunity supports the design, construction, testing and commissioning of mechanical and piping systems for a major LNG facility. The role will help ensure systems are safe, functional and operable while providing technical leadership across engineering, commissioning and integrity activities. This company offers the chance to work in a highly technical project environment involving LNG liquefaction, static equipment, stress analysis and process safety.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another relevant technical field

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering capacity
  • Strong experience with LNG or related petrochemical production processes, equipment, and mechanical and piping systems
  • Experience supporting the design, construction, testing and commissioning of mechanical and piping systems
  • Experience participating in HAZOP studies, PHAs, and process safety management activities
  • Experience supporting systems completion and commissioning activities for LNG liquefaction facilities

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping engineering for LNG facilities, including piping, heat exchangers and static equipment
  • Ability to perform stress analysis, finite element analysis and fluid flow simulations to validate designs and predict pipeline behaviour
  • Proficiency with stress analysis and modelling software such as Caesar and Ansys
  • Strong understanding of technical codes and standards including CFR 193/192, ASME B31.3, API 610 and ASME BPVC
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including P&IDs, PFDs, isometrics and structural drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving capability for complex mechanical issues
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities covering execution and commissioning
  • Professional Engineering License or equivalent licence/accreditation
