Job Title: Mechanical Technician II
Duration: One year with possible extension
Schedule: 5/2 (M-F) 7:00am – 3:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
This opportunity is based in a fleet operations environment and focuses on supporting vehicle maintenance, repair coordination, telematics, and record management. The role will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of pool and field vehicles, working across preventive maintenance, inspections, fuel card support, and vehicle movement activities. This position is well suited to candidates with experience in vehicle operations, maintenance coordination, and Microsoft Office.
Required Experience:
- Experience supporting fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, or repair coordination
- Experience maintaining records for preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, telematics, and related vehicle activity
- Experience coordinating vehicle movement, shop activity, or maintenance scheduling
Required Skills:
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- General vehicle knowledge
- Ability to multitask across maintenance, inspections, scheduling, and record keeping
- Ability to support telematics device replacement and system fault follow-up
- Ability to inspect vehicles and complete vehicle walk-arounds to confirm operational readiness
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
