L3 Network Engineer – Enterprise Network & Security
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced L3 Network Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Application Delivery technologies. The role demands deep technical proficiency, strong incident and SLA management experience, and the ability to lead and execute network project activities including migrations and handover to operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations & Support
- Act as L3 escalation point for complex network incidents across LAN, WAN, Wireless, and ADC environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-severity network issues within SLA
Provide expert-level support for:
- Fortinet SD-WAN
- Cisco Catalyst LAN Switches
- Cisco WLC-based Wireless Networks
- F5 BIG-IP ADC (LTM, APM, WAF, basic iRules, traffic management)
- IPAM and DDI Solutions (DNS, DHCP, IP address management)
Incident & Process Management
- Lead Major Incident Management (MIM) calls and drive incident resolution
- Ensure adherence to SLA and KPI targets
- Work on ticket management systems (ServiceNow or equivalent), including RCA and post-incident reviews
- Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and internal stakeholders during incidents
Project & Transition Activities
- Execute LAN/WAN Migration projects, including planning, implementation, and validation
Prepare and maintain network documentation, including:
- Network design documents
- As-built documentation
- Standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Create and update network topology diagrams
- Follow up with client project teams to track deliverables and milestones
- Perform handover to Operations teams, including knowledge transfer and runbook creation
Required Technical Skills
Networking & Security
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switching (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, QoS)
- Experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers and enterprise Wi-Fi deployments
- Working knowledge of F5 BIG-IP ADC (LTM, APM, WAF, Pools, Virtual Servers, SSL profiles)
- Experience with IPAM / DDI solutions
Operational Skills
- Major Incident management and coordination
- SLA and uptime management
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 10–12 years of relevant enterprise network experience
- Experience working in ITIL-based service environments preferred
Certifications (Preferred)
- CCNP / CCIE (Enterprise)
- Fortinet NSE (NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 7)
- F5 Certified Administrator (101/201)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
