Job Title: NPI Engineer
Schedule: Full-Time
Location: Nusajaya Tech Park, Johor
This opportunity supports new product introduction in an aerospace manufacturing environment, with a focus on moving products from development and prototype stages into stable production. The role is centred on precision metal manufacturing, CNC machining, manufacturing process development, and cross-functional collaboration across production, quality, and engineering. This position offers involvement in process optimisation, machining trials, DFM activity, and production readiness for high-precision components.
Required Education:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
Required Experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing role such as new product introduction, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or industrialisation engineering
- Experience within metal manufacturing, precision engineering, or CNC machining
- Experience supporting product transition from technical review through to production readiness
- Hands-on experience working closely with production teams on the manufacturing floor
Required Skills:
- Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to determine suitable manufacturing processes
- Strong knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes, particularly milling and/or turning
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing process development
- Experience supporting machining trials, process validation, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues
- Capability to review machining methods, cycle times, and process flow to improve quality, productivity, and cost
- Ability to prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process specifications
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience within the aerospace manufacturing industry
- Experience supporting new products from prototype through to production
- Exposure to CNC programming or CAM software
- Experience working in a high-precision machining environment
