JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The NDT Supervisor is responsible, within the supervision of the GranMorgu Project team and under the RSES-D / Company Site Representative, for following-up, monitoring and supervising NDT activities carried out by Contractor and Subcontractor(s) onboard the vessel, ensuring that NDT technical requirements are duly applied by Contractor and Subcontractor(s).
Review relevant documentation from the CONTRACTOR or SUPPLIER (procedures, ITPs, etc.) in coordination with other disciplines.
Monitor and control the implementation of approved procedures, surveillance plans, inspection and test plans, and AUT acceptance criteria.
Prepare the Daily Production Report, including comprehensive details of all indications identified by AUT.
Conduct an independent assessment of the subcontractor's interpretations and question any identified discrepancies.
Ensure appropriate follow-up on all manual NDT inspections performed.
Review and ensure that all material certificates and calibration equipment certification records are up to date, including documentation from suppliers and contractors.
Ensure that work is rigorously inspected by the contractor's Quality Control (QC) inspection team.
Challenge the Contractor and sub-suppliers regarding Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) performance and inspection activities, conducting daily routine and random inspections in this regard.
Halt operations and immediately report any anomaly or non-conformity to the Company's offshore representative (RSES-D).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Engineer or equivalent
Experience supervising deepwater offshore operations related to SURF activities.
Participation in a recent deepwater project, including offshore operations.
Languages:
Fluent English required (spoken and written)
Mandatory:
Certification : ISO 9712 UT level 3 with strong experience on AUT including TOFD. Ideally experienced with PipeWizard Software
Strong AUT interpreter experience on board pipelay vessel or spool base .
Shall successfully pass the AUT Interpreter qualification training for the SONUS system (SAIPEM).
