Airswit is currently looking for an Operations Advisor to join our client's operations in Midland, Texas, for a 1 year contract duration.
Position Summary
The Rotational Procedure Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring operational procedures are accurate, practical, and aligned with field operations. This position serves as a bridge between field subject matter experts (SMEs) and documentation teams by travelling to various locations, validating draft procedures, and supporting the refinement and finalisation of high-quality operational documentation. A strong understanding of OIMS 6-1 (Operations Integrity Management System – Procedures and Work Practices) is essential to ensure compliance and consistency across all procedure deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to multiple field locations to support procedure validation and improvement efforts
- Review preliminary procedure documents for alignment with OIMS 6-1 standards, ensuring proper structure, clarity, and compliance
- Partner directly with field Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather insights and fine-tune procedural details
- Assess procedure accuracy, completeness, and usability in real-world field conditions
- Facilitate discussions with field personnel to ensure procedures reflect actual practices and operational constraints
- Collaborate with technical writers and documentation teams to incorporate field feedback and finalize procedures
- Ensure finalised procedures are clear, actionable, and consistent with OIMS 6-1 requirements
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or improvement opportunities within existing procedures
- Act as a liaison between field operations and documentation teams to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Experience in operations, field work, or procedure development (industry-specific experience preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of OIMS 6-1 or equivalent procedure/work practice standards
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SMEs and technical writers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to translate complex operational input into clear procedural guidance
- Ability to work independently in dynamic field environments
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to various locations
Preferred Skills
- 10 years to 15 years field operations experience with a minimum of 5 years as Safety Health and Environment (SHE) and/or Person In Charge (PIC) experience.
- Prior experience in procedure writing, verification, or documentation processes
- Familiarity with operational safety and compliance frameworks
- Strong organisational, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in regulated or high-risk operational environments
Work Environment
- Field-based role with frequent travel required
- Regular interaction with field personnel, SMEs, and remote documentation teams
