Job Title: Operations / Wellsite Geologist II - Development and Production Geoscientist
Duration: 12 months (possible extension)
Schedule: 5/40
Location: Spring, TX

This opportunity is suited to a geoscience professional focused on field-scale reservoir characterization, development planning and drilling program execution. The role centers on integrating seismic, logs, fluids and core data to build subsurface prediction models and support business investment decisions. This position offers the chance to work in a multi-discipline environment, contributing to appraisal strategies, well planning and development inventory high grading.

Required Education:

  • Master of Science (M.S.) degree in a relevant discipline

Required Experience:

  • Three or more years of experience in a relevant industry
  • Experience working at field scale within development and production geoscience
  • Experience supporting appraisal strategies, field development plans and drilling programs 

Required Skills:

  • Ability to integrate geological and geophysical data to develop accurate subsurface descriptions
  • Capability to integrate diverse datasets across multiple scales, including seismic, log and core data, to build subsurface interpretations
  • Ability to comprehend, integrate knowledge, ideas and skills to solve geological problems
  • Ability to work effectively within and across diverse multi-discipline team environments
  • Ability to communicate key risks and uncertainties to support business investment decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective quantitative interpretation skills with the ability to work independently
  • Experience in well planning and execution to support drilling operations
  • Experience building integrated, regionally consistent, core-, well- and seismic-constrained interpretations
  • Experience using Kingdom, Petra or Petrel
  • Experience with unconventional reservoirs
  • Permian Basin experience
  • Ability to apply geoscience tools and techniques with sound judgment and timeliness
