Package Manager (EPC Topside)

Position Overview

Airswift is recruiting for a Package Manager (EPC Topside) to support a technically complex offshore project within the oil and gas sector. This Package Manager (EPC Topside) opportunity is focused on leading assigned vendor packages through execution, delivery, handover, and close-out while maintaining alignment with project objectives for safety, schedule, quality, and compliance. The Package Manager (EPC Topside) will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, logistics, and project controls. This is a high-impact Package Manager (EPC Topside) position suited to candidates with strong FPSO EPC/EPCIC package delivery experience.

Role Context

This opportunity sits within the oil and gas sector and supports the engineering and delivery of floating offshore facilities. The role is positioned within an FPSO project environment involving technically demanding topsides package execution and close coordination across multiple disciplines. The working environment requires strong engineering leadership, structured vendor management, and effective delivery alignment across project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned vendor packages from post-award execution through manufacturing, inspection, delivery, handover, and close-out.
  • Act as the focal point for package-related communications, actions, and deliverables, ensuring effective control throughout the package lifecycle.
  • Monitor package performance across engineering deliverables, procurement progress, manufacturing, testing, logistics, and delivery milestones.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, construction, commissioning, quality, HSE, logistics, project controls, and asset management teams to maintain delivery alignment.
  • Lead package progress meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders, tracking actions and driving timely closure.
  • Manage package delivery risks and support mitigation planning to address schedule, quality, and delivery challenges.
  • Support project reporting by providing accurate updates on package status, key issues, risks, and forecast impacts.
  • Ensure required vendor documentation, certification, inspection records, and handover deliverables are submitted in line with project requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering such as Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, Civil, Marine, or equivalent.
  • Essential: Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience in procurement, subcontracting, or supply chain management within the oil and gas or offshore industry.
  • Essential: At least 5 years of experience in EPC/EPCIC project execution, preferably involving FPSO or similar offshore facilities.
  • Essential: Minimum 5 years in a Package Manager, Lead Package Engineer, Engineering Manager, Project Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
  • Essential: Strong understanding of FPSO EPC/EPCIC execution, including procurement, vendor management, engineering interface, fabrication, integration, commissioning, and handover.
  • Essential: Proven experience managing high-value and/or long-lead vendor packages for offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Essential: Experience managing procurement, subcontracting, and logistics functions in large-scale, multi-discipline projects or module packages.
  • Essential: Ability to manage package risks, schedule interfaces, quality issues, and stakeholder expectations in a multi-contractor project environment.
  • Desirable: Experience in multi-location and multi-contractor execution environments, including international yards, joint ventures, or consortium projects.
  • Desirable: Experience in FPSO or major offshore projects involving multi-yard fabrication and integration.
  • Desirable: Professional certification in procurement, supply chain, contracts, project management, or engineering management.
