Job Overview:
This opportunity focuses on end-to-end payroll processing within a multi-state environment, supporting accurate and timely payroll operations while maintaining a strong employee experience. The role works closely with Human Resources, Finance and Benefits, with responsibility for payroll audits, issue resolution and payroll reporting. This position will suit candidates with strong payroll administration expertise, regulatory awareness and advanced Excel capability.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of three years of payroll administration experience with a strong understanding of federal, state and local payroll regulations.
- Demonstrated experience processing payroll end-to-end, including earnings, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, retroactive pay and adjustments.
- Experience working with multi-state payroll processing and related regulations.
- Experience resolving complex payroll issues and supporting payroll audits and payroll reporting.
- Experience using payroll or HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, Salesforce or similar systems.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance across federal, state and local requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, filtering and data validation.
- Ability to audit timecards, pay changes, new hires, terminations, leaves of absence and payroll transactions with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
- Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and collaborate effectively across internal teams.
