Airswift is looking for a PEI Project Inspector to work for a major O&G company in Monaca, Pennsylvania, for an initial 12-months assignment.
This opportunity offers the chance to provide field-based inspection and integrity oversight for pressure equipment integrity activities across project execution and construction environments. The role focuses on verifying fabrication, installation, testing and turnover activities against approved standards, with strong involvement in QA/QC, commissioning readiness and asset integrity. This position will suit candidates with experience in piping, static equipment, pressure vessels, welding documentation, NDT and pressure testing who are looking to make a visible impact on safe, compliant project delivery.
Required Education:
- Degree, diploma or trade background in mechanical, piping, inspection or a related technical discipline
Required Experience:
- Experience supporting pressure equipment integrity activities on projects within field-based construction or project execution environments
- Experience inspecting piping, static equipment, pressure vessels, tanks, valves and associated supports or anchors
- Experience participating in walkdowns, mechanical completion, systemization, punch management and commissioning readiness activities
- Experience managing inspection findings, punch items or non-conformance issues through to closure before handover
- Experience preparing and verifying inspection records, traceability documentation, test packs and turnover dossiers
Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of pressure equipment integrity practices and common industry codes and standards including ASME, API and AWS
- Ability to execute inspection activities in line with inspection and test plans
- Strong understanding of welding documentation, material certification and material traceability requirements
- Familiarity with NDT methods, PWHT, pressure testing and leak testing activities
- Ability to perform field surveillance of contractors to confirm compliance with drawings, specifications and workmanship expectations
- Strong documentation capability using inspection reports, Excel, SharePoint and turnover or CMMS-style systems
- Clear and collaborative communication with construction, QA/QC, welding, NDT, commissioning and operations stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the confidence to intervene where unsafe work is observed
- Good understanding of PTW, LOTO and construction HSSE requirements
