Job Title: Personnel, Cargo, & Vessel Coordinator
Duration: 1 year initially with possibility of extension
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Location: Spring, Texas

This opportunity sits within a technically demanding offshore supply environment, focused on coordinating marine logistics, cargo movements, personnel planning, and vessel schedules in deepwater oil and gas operations. The role plays a key part in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient execution across short-term marine planning and live operational support. This company is seeking a professional who can balance operational priorities, respond to changing conditions, and contribute to schedule optimisation in a complex regional setting.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; marine operations, marine engineering, or a comparable maritime background is preferred as an academic foundation.

Required Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in infield logistics or cargo and vessel coordination, ideally within deepwater oil and gas operations.
  • Required background supporting deepwater drilling operations.
  • Experience working across multiple vessel types such as MFPSV, PSV, AHTS, IMR, FSV, and tugs.
  • Exposure to marine service requirements beyond cargo movement, including passenger movements, tanker connect/disconnect operations, subsea operations, or environmental audits.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and shorebase operations, including materials picking, staging, containerisation, shipment coordination, and preferably crane operations exposure.
  • Experience working in live operational environments where schedule deviations, capacity constraints, and competing stakeholder priorities must be managed in real time.

Required Skills:

  • Must live within 50-mile radius of Spring, Texas
  • Strong capability in short-term marine planning, vessel scheduling, cargo allocation, personnel coordination, and port plan execution.
  • Experience using vessel planning and execution systems, including optimisation and scenario-based planning tools.
  • Ability to assess operational risks such as weather, tides, currents, port congestion, asset constraints, and cargo or personnel readiness, and develop practical mitigation scenarios.
  • Strong cost and commercial awareness, including the ability to evaluate vessel day rates, fuel use, third-party service costs, utilisation impacts, and service-level trade-offs.
  • Business-level English fluency, both written and verbal.
  • Clear and concise communication skills under time pressure, including coordination with operational teams by phone or radio.
  • Strong critical thinking, structured problem-solving, and the ability to challenge assumptions while balancing integrated business objectives.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively across cross-regional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Willingness and ability to coach others on marine scheduling processes and systems.
  • Adaptability to work across multiple regions with varying regulations, time zones, and operational constraints.
  • Willingness to work within a 24/7 coverage model, including 7-days-on/7-days-off patterns, 12-hour shifts, overtime as required, and international travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marine operations, marine engineering, or equivalent maritime background.
  • Exposure to deepwater business environments associated with major offshore operators.
  • Experience supporting process refinement, user acceptance testing, training material development, process documentation, and knowledge transfer activities.
