Airswift is recruiting for a Preservation Lead opportunity with a major company in the energy sector. This company is seeking an experienced professional to take on a key leadership role within its Preservation and Maintenance Facility in Schriever, Louisiana. The Preservation Lead will be responsible for leading maintenance and preservation activities for critical oil and gas equipment, while ensuring strong HSSE performance, operational efficiency, and effective coordination across teams and third-party providers.

100% onsite, 5 days per week in office

The Role:
The Preservation Lead is a critical position within the Preservation and Maintenance Facility. The Preservation Lead will oversee the preservation and maintenance of equipment and materials, ensuring that assets remain in a fit-for-use condition. The Preservation Lead will play an important part in implementing materials management processes, supporting facility operations, and driving continuous improvement across preservation activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management, training, and development of preservation and maintenance contract personnel
- Take responsibility for all aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental safeguarding in collaboration with site leadership
- Lead JSEA activities for maintenance operations
- Manage all activities required to maintain the facility, equipment, and stored items
- Plan and schedule work orders related to regulatory compliance, including federal, state, local, OSHA, and company requirements
- Facilitate the creation and approval of preservation maintenance job plans for asset-owned equipment
- Oversee third-party personnel on site, with responsibility for HSE, supervision, and quality of work
- Plan, schedule, and reconcile work orders
- Assess incoming equipment to identify maintenance requirements and communicate with equipment owners
- Coordinate the rental of specialist material handling equipment as needed
- Proactively identify scrap, surplus, and obsolete items in partnership with item owners
- Communicate service levels through a robust KPI programme
- Support annual planning, objective setting, and innovation initiatives for the facility team
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by site leadership

Skills and Experience Required:
- Ten years of experience in a leadership role related to preservation and maintenance of oilfield materials
- Five years of people management experience, with the ability to build and lead a diverse workforce
- Strong knowledge of deepwater oil and gas equipment
- At least five years of experience working with offshore platform operations, drilling rigs, wellheads, and subsea materials
- Proven experience working with third-party service providers for facility upkeep and preservation activities
- Strong capability in HSSE implementation and safeguarding
- Skilled in the use of IT tools and desktop software applications
- Experience developing processes and procedures
- Experience managing performance through metrics, scorecards, and performance reviews
- Strong communication, organisational, influencing, partnership, and teamwork skills
- Sound financial understanding, including economic analysis, planning, financial decision-making, and financial statement analysis
- Demonstrated strategic planning and analytical problem-solving ability

Preferred Experience:
- Experience with facility management systems
