Position Overview
This Process Engineer opportunity is suited to an experienced professional seeking a highly technical role within an LNG facility environment. The Process Engineer will provide process engineering support across plant operations, troubleshooting, process safety, change management and performance improvement. This position offers the chance to contribute to diagnostics, optimisation, facility modifications and operational reliability within a complex industrial setting. The Process Engineer will work independently while applying sound engineering judgement and collaborating with operational teams and technical stakeholders.
Role Context
This role is based at an LNG facility, with occasional travel to local off-site locations. The position supports an operating industrial facility and includes involvement in plant operations, facility upgrades, commissioning, start-up support and ongoing process performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide process engineering support for LNG facility operations, including process surveillance, troubleshooting, analysis and modification recommendations.
Develop process simulations to assess steady-state system response and support diagnostics, troubleshooting and optimisation activities.
Monitor key performance indicators and safe operating limits, analyse process data and advise on performance or safety exceedances.
Collaborate with operations personnel to resolve process issues and improve production efficiency and reliability.
Manage and support technical Management of Change activities, including technical design, process safety information, training support and closeout activities.
Participate in Process Hazard Analysis, HAZOP, LOPA and other process safety studies to support safe design and risk reduction.
Support incident investigations by analysing equipment or system failures and contributing to corrective actions and root cause solutions.
Prepare preliminary scopes of work, cost estimates and schedules in support of capital projects and facility upgrades.
Provide process engineering input for commissioning, start-up and operation of plant systems or newly installed process units.
Support audits, assessments, debottlenecking studies, performance testing and process-based technical training when required.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Essential:
Valid and current TWIC.
Essential:
10+ years of Process Engineering experience.
Essential:
5+ years of gas treatment or gas liquefaction process experience.
Essential:
3+ years of experience in an operating industrial facility.
Essential:
Knowledge of process engineering principles, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, material and energy balances, cause and effect diagrams and control narratives.
Essential:
Knowledge of process safety principles, engineering standards, specifications, codes and best practices.
Essential:
Strong technical troubleshooting, optimization, analytical and communication skills.

xperience leading or driving Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), HAZOP, or LOPA recommendations through action item closure

Strong experience owning Management of Change (MOC) activities from initiation through implementation.
