This opportunity is based at an LNG facility and focuses on process surveillance, troubleshooting, analysis, and engineering support across plant operations and modification activities. The role offers involvement in process simulations, Management of Change, process safety studies, incident investigation, and performance improvement work that supports production, efficiency, and safe operations. This company is seeking a technically strong engineering professional who can work independently, apply sound judgement, and contribute across commissioning, start-up, operational support, and facility upgrade activities.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Required Experience:
10+ years of process engineering experience
5+ years of gas treatment or gas liquefaction process experience
3+ years of experience in an operating industrial facility
Experience supporting commissioning, start-up, and operation of an LNG plant or newly installed process units
Experience participating in Process Hazards Analysis, Hazard and Operability Reviews, or Layers of Protection Analysis
Experience supporting incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for equipment and system failures
Required Skills:
Process surveillance, troubleshooting, analysis, and modification support within an LNG facility environment
Ability to develop process simulations to investigate steady-state system responses for diagnostics and troubleshooting
Ability to analyze key performance indicators and advise on exceedances, including Safe Integrity Limits
Knowledge of process systems design, operational practices, and controls
Knowledge of engineering systems and technical documentation including piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, material and energy balances, cause and effects diagrams, and control narratives
Knowledge of process safety principles and best practices
Knowledge of design specifications, codes, standards, best practices, and contracts
Ability to prepare preliminary scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules for capital and facility upgrade projects
Ability to manage technical Management of Change activities and support related documentation, training, and reviews
Clear and professional written and verbal communication for different audiences
Ability to conduct research that supports improved process safety and reliability
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize process-related problems
Required Certifications:
Valid/current TWIC
Valid, unexpired driver license
