Airswift is currently seeking a Process Engineer to support a major client in Quintana, TX on an initial 1-year contract.
The company is seeking a Process Engineer that will be responsible for process surveillance, troubleshooting, analysis and proposing modification, managing change and providing engineering support for an LNG facility, while working independently, following peer review process and using good engineering judgement for consulting supervisors and mentors.
This position is based at the LNG Facility, however, some travel to local off-site locations may be required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities:
- Make recommendations for process systems design, operational practices, and controls.
- Analyze and act on key performance indicators (KPI) and highlight for any exceedance.
- Collect data, analyze and advise on any exceedance on Safe Integrity Limits (SOL).
- Develop process simulations to investigate system steady-state responses in support of diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with operations personnel to troubleshoot process issues.
- Develop process monitoring tools and make improvement recommendations to enhance production and efficiency performance.
- Provide preliminary scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules to support capital and facility upgrade projects.
- Manage technical Management of Change (MOC) process and utilize it in support of capital projects and routine facility changes.
- Support the development, review, and closeout of Management of Change (MOC) activities including things like work package, technical design, process safety information, training, pre-startup safety/return to original condition reviews.
- Participate in Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) and Hazard and Operability Reviews (HAZOP) or Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) to ensure safety in design.
- Interpret PHA recommendations to participate in risk ranking, solution selection and implementation, including MOCs and close out sheets.
- Facilitate/participate in other process safety and technical studies.
- Participate in incident investigation to analyze equipment and system failures and deviations and provide solutions and corrective actions to root causes.
- Support commercial operations, regulatory affairs, and other departments to ensure that process data/interpretations are available as needed.
- Provide process engineering support for the commissioning, start-up, and operation of the LNG plant and/or new process units installed in the facility.
- Participate in audits/assessments as a technical resource.
- Conduct process-based technical training for operations staff if requested.
- Facilitate debottlenecking studies in support of maximum utilization, and propose design solutions/performance tests for optimizing production or solving process incidents.
- Knowledge of engineering systems, applications, calculations, methodologies, etc. i.e. piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, material and energy balances, cause and effects diagrams, and control narratives.
- Knowledge of process safety principals and best practices.
- Knowledge of design specifications, codes, standards, best practices, and contracts.
- Clear, professional communication in verbal and written form for different audiences.
- Perform research that leads to improved process safety and reliability.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize process related problems.
Minimum Experience Required:
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Valid/Current TWIC Required
- 10+ Years of Process Engineering Experience
- 5+ Years of Gas Treatment or Gas Liquefaction Process Experience
- 3+ years of experience in an operating industrial facility
