Airswift is seeking a Procurement Manager to work at Georgetown- Guyana, on a permanent position with a consumer products distribution company, to work in the Receiving area of the Supply Chain.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the acquisition of goods and services for the company.
Develops, implements, and monitors a purchasing plan/program for the company.
Ensures that all purchasing activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures and follow the principles of accountability, transparency, and cost-effectiveness.
Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the work of the team involved in the acquisition of goods and services for the company, provides them with advice and guidance on purchasing matters; evaluates and reports on their performance.
Directs and supervises the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of a Supplier Performance Management System to evaluate indicators such as capacity, quality, and delivery.
Supervises the logistics associated with the rapid delivery of supplies, goods, and services to meet the company's needs.
Participates in the development of the department's budget.
Ensures the establishment and maintenance of the creation of new inventory items.
Recommends procurement and warehousing strategies to take advantage of economic order quantities, prices and deliveries.
Represents the Division/Department in committees/meetings on matters related to purchasing.
Monitor and ensure that ongoing monthly forecasts are submitted in a timely manner and take into account all key statistical data to calculate an accurate forecast.
Monitor and report on the accuracy of the ongoing forecast.
Communicate with suppliers/brokers/shipping companies regarding orders and shipments. Verify and track emails and any other documents with shipment information related to orders and shipments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
Experience in supervisory roles in the field is required.
