Airswift is searching for a Procurement Officer to join a leading power generation operation in Guyana. This role will be responsible for managing the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, ensuring procurement compliance, supplier performance, cost efficiency, and seamless coordination with operations, finance, and logistics teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process from requisition to invoice reconciliation.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Issue and administer purchase orders, contracts, and service agreements.
- Develop procurement plans aligned with operational, maintenance, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and delivery priorities.
- Manage supplier relationships and conduct vendor performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, anti-bribery standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Finance to support invoice processing, reconciliations, reporting, and budget control.
- Coordinate logistics activities, including import/export processes and supplier deliveries.
- Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and procurement performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within the power generation, energy, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and procurement controls.
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract administration, and commercial negotiations.
- Knowledge of logistics, supply chain operations, and import/export procedures.
- Experience using ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with procurement compliance, vendor due diligence, and contract management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English communication skills.
