Job Title: Production Superintendent

This opportunity supports oil and gas production operations across multiple fields, leases, and production facilities, with responsibility for operational leadership, production optimization, asset integrity, and regulatory compliance. The role offers broad exposure to conventional field operations, compression, facility operations, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, maintenance, drilling, completions, and midstream teams. This company is seeking a technically strong operations leader who can drive safe, reliable, and cost-effective production performance in a field-based environment.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Required Experience:
- 10–15 years of progressive oil and gas production operations experience
- At least 5 years of supervisory or management experience overseeing field operations
- Strong experience in conventional field operations
- Extensive experience with compression and facility operations
- Experience leading daily production operations across multiple fields, leases, and production facilities
- Experience supporting operational reviews, production reporting, budgeting, and performance management
Required Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of upstream oil and gas production systems and processes
- Strong understanding of production facilities, compression, separation, tank batteries, water handling systems, and artificial lift technologies
- Ability to analyze production trends, downtime events, and asset performance data to support production optimization
- Knowledge of asset integrity, reliability, preventive maintenance, and maintenance best practices
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage operating budgets, lease operating expenses, and cost-control initiatives
- Proficient computer skills, including production reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, strategic planning, decision-making, and project prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reporting and presentation skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, inspect operating facilities, walk uneven terrain, climb stairs, ladders, and elevated structures when necessary, and wear required PPE safely in operating environments
- Ability to travel frequently to field locations and production facilities
Required Certifications:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Management, or a related field
- Experience overseeing large-scale conventional and/or unconventional oil and gas assets
- Strong understanding of chemical program management
- Experience with SCADA systems, automation technologies, and production data analytics
- Experience with Peloton WellView, ProdView, and zdSCADA
- Knowledge of capital project execution and asset planning
- Industry certifications including H2S Awareness, Safeland/PEC, Incident Command System (ICS), and First Aid/CPR
