Spring Campus (travel to contractor offices in the Houston area 1-2 days per week where required)

This opportunity offers involvement in early-stage project controls work supporting complex subsea contract activity, with a strong focus on cost forecasting, change management and project stewardship. The role sits within a technically demanding project environment where accurate reporting, budget tracking and collaboration across multiple teams are central to project delivery. This position is well suited to professionals with strong project controls expertise who can work independently, communicate clearly and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management

  • Proven experience in project controls with a focus on cost control and schedule control achievements

  • Experience supporting cost forecasting, budgeting, accruals, reporting and change management within project environments

  • Background in coordinating estimating, planning, cost control and progress measurement activities across multiple stakeholders

  • Experience reviewing contractor cost, schedule and progress performance, including baselines, forecasts and change proposals

  • Supervisory experience is required

  • Experience in project environments requiring stewardship reviews, gate reviews, budgeting support and close liaison with wider project teams

  • Strong capability in project cost control, schedule control, progress measurement and management of change

  • Ability to prepare and analyse project cost and schedule forecasts, budgets and performance reporting

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and solve problems proactively

  • Strong analytical and computing skills

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to respond quickly to urgent analysis requests

  • Knowledge of project controls planning, stewardship processes, budget structures and corrective action tracking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in the project management discipline from a recognised organisation such as Primavera, PMI or AACE (Preferred)

  • Experience with SAP and Power BI

  • Knowledge of project management best practice frameworks and key work processes

  • Willingness to travel to contractor offices in the Houston area 1-2 days per week where required

  • Willingness to work in overseas or site-based project environments where needed
