Job Title: Project Director
Duration: 18 Month Contract

Location: Romania

This opportunity offers the chance to support the final stages of development and construction for onshore wind projects. The role is focused on project delivery, stakeholder management, construction oversight, and commercial performance, with responsibility for helping drive projects through to commercial operation. This position will suit a senior professional with strong experience across infrastructure, power-generating facilities, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for project agreements, including supply and balance of plant contracts, and management of employer deliverables.
  • Support governance and value creation activities, including board and owner meetings, financing processes, and divestment activities.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality, on-time, and on-budget execution through effective contractor and third-party management.
  • Lead the project team while proactively managing project risks, opportunities, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive projects to commercial operation date and ensure smooth handover to Operations.
  • Define and communicate project and portfolio resource requirements and timing.
  • Maintain alignment with internal and external teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering, project management, and/or construction of power-generating facilities, transmission projects, or electrical systems.
  • Engineering background, or a commercial background combined with project delivery experience.
  • Strong project management capability within infrastructure or renewable energy environments.
  • Familiarity with commercial matters and business cases.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage both senior and junior stakeholders.
  • Track record of successful project development and construction delivery, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management capability.
  • Ability to work effectively in an international, multicultural environment with agility, flexibility, and adaptability.
