Project Engineer - Process

About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Engineer - Process to join a high-performing project team delivering major mining infrastructure projects. This role offers the chance to contribute to large-scale project delivery across multiple assets, gaining exposure to all project phases from concept and design through to construction and commissioning.
Working closely with the Package Lead, you will support the delivery of process infrastructure packages and play a key role in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within schedule and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning, procurement, construction and commissioning of process infrastructure packages.
Develop and manage scopes of work for primary crushing, conveyor, and associated CSMPEI works.
Coordinate interfaces between equipment suppliers, contractors, construction teams and key stakeholders.
Manage procurement activities, tender evaluations, contract administration, progress claims and variations.
Monitor package performance, schedule, cost and delivery milestones.
Review engineering designs, specifications and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Support the resolution of technical queries, non-conformances, and design changes.
Contribute to Safety in Design activities, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability reviews and risk assessments.
Ensure all works are completed in accordance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
Prepare regular progress reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to have
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years' experience delivering mining, resources, or major infrastructure projects.
Experience working across project phases including planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
Strong knowledge of process infrastructure such as crushing plants, conveyor systems, transfer stations, bulk materials handling facilities, or water infrastructure.
Experience managing contractors, suppliers and package interfaces.
Understanding of construction delivery methodologies and CSMPEI disciplines.
Sound commercial and contractual knowledge including procurement, contract administration and cost management.
Familiarity with quality processes, inspections, SWMS and ITP requirements.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive approach to problem solving, risk management and project delivery.
