Position Overview
This Project Fabrication Manager opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with deep experience in oil and gas fabrication and subsea structures. The Project Fabrication Manager will support studies within G-PAJ / WHT projects, working across fabrication, engineering and project interfaces in a multidisciplinary environment. This Project Fabrication Manager role offers the chance to contribute to complex fabrication scopes while maintaining focus on schedule, quality, safety and delivery performance. The Project Fabrication Manager will play an important part in coordinating technical and execution activities within a demanding project setting.
Role Context
This position sits within the oil and gas sector and supports studies linked to G-PAJ / WHT projects. The role is connected to fabrication activities involving subsea structures including PLET/PLEM, associated steel structures and piping fabrication. The Project Fabrication Manager will work under the supervision of a manager and interface with other disciplines in a multicultural team environment. The service is based in Saint Quentin en Yvelines, with potential onshore and offshore mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Report to the assigned Project Fabrication Manager and coordinate with the relevant fabrication function across project activities.
Plan, coordinate and control project execution in line with client requirements, delivery timelines and cost constraints.
Support project governance across organisational, financial, technological and contractual aspects.
Help drive achievement of established project objectives while maintaining compliance with HSE and quality procedures.
Review engineering drawings and specifications to support fabrication execution and technical decision-making.
Monitor material availability, MTO status and substitutions relevant to fabrication progress.
Assess site technical queries from the yard and contribute to practical technical solutions.
Analyse fabrication issues, evaluate schedule impact and support recovery planning where required.
Manage interfaces between engineering and fabrication work fronts to maintain effective project coordination.
Lead meetings effectively and consolidate clear, relevant meeting minutes.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Engineering degree.
Essential:
Strong experience in oil and gas fabrication of subsea structures such as PLET/PLEM, associated steel structures and piping fabrication.
Essential:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Essential:
Understanding of welding documentation and practices including WPS, PQR, welder qualifications and NDT methods.
Essential:
Familiarity with fabrication sequences and constructability constraints.
Essential:
Knowledge of structural steel codes such as AWS D1.1 or equivalent, and piping codes including ASME B31.3 and DNV-RP-B204.
Essential:
Experience managing interfaces between engineering and fabrication activities, including work front analysis.
Essential:
Knowledge of NCR and MOC processes, with a strong commitment to safety leadership and risk assessment.
Essential:
Fluent English.
Essential:
Valid BOSIET, valid MFC and Yellow Fever certification.
Desirable:
French language skills.
Desirable:
Portuguese language skills.
Desirable:
Valid Seaman book.
