Position Overview

Airswift is recruiting for a Project Information Consultant on behalf of a third-party company. This Project Information Consultant opportunity is focused on managing the integrity, governance, and accessibility of project and operational information across engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations activities. The Project Information Consultant will play a key role in supporting accurate document control, information quality, and effective project record turnover to enable safe and efficient facility operations. This Project Information Consultant position offers the chance to contribute to complex industrial project environments where information governance and technical documentation control are critical to project success.

Role Context

This role sits within an industrial project environment supporting engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational activities. The position is particularly relevant to capital projects, brownfield modifications, and facility operations, with sector exposure including LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, or other heavy industrial settings. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors, and owner-operator stakeholders to support effective project information management and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project information and document control activities across the full document lifecycle, from creation through archive and retention.

  • Maintain master document registers, metadata, transmittals, and document workflows to support accurate information governance.

  • Coordinate the exchange, review, approval, and distribution of engineering, vendor, and construction documentation.

  • Support document accuracy, revision control, compliance, and quality assurance across electronic document management processes.

  • Track and control redlined engineering documents and P&IDs in support of management of change activities.

  • Lead project documentation turnover and handover activities to support complete and accurate transfer of records into operations.

  • Produce KPI reporting, audits, dashboards, and data quality metrics to monitor information management performance.

  • Provide guidance and training on document management standards, governance, and best practice.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, information governance, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential:

    10+ years of experience in information management, document control, data management, records management, or related disciplines.

  • Essential:

    Experience supporting capital projects, brownfield modifications, commissioning, and operational facilities.

  • Essential:

    Strong understanding of engineering documentation, document lifecycle management, and project turnover requirements.

  • Essential:

    Experience supporting management of change processes and controlled technical documentation.

  • Essential:

    Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and owner-operators in industrial environments.

  • Essencial:

    Experience supporting LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, or heavy industrial projects.

  • Essencial:

    Demonstrated success in document governance, information quality, turnover readiness, and operational records management.

  • Technical skills: 

    SharePoint, Aconex, SAP, Confluence, EDMS platforms, MDR/DDM systems, metadata management, records governance, KPI reporting, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction-to-operations turnover management.
