Main Duties of the Jobholder
1. Ensuring that the training needs of quality personnel are identified and actioned.
2. Ensuring that all inspection activities are planned and undertaken in a timely manner.
3. Administering N.D.T Subcontracts and ensuring that all NDT requirements are fulfilled. Ensuring that NDT Subcontractor operates meeting the yard HS&E requirements.
4. Ensuring that Project Quality Plans and Procedures are adhered to, by the respective Quality personnel in liaison with Project Quality Team.
5. Ensuring that relevant personnel are aware of any Quality problems. Also communicates with the Yard Quality Manager.
6. Monitoring overall fabrication/ construction quality, weld repair rates.
7. Ensuring that all Documentation requirements are defined and met.
8. Ensuring that the project documentation & certification complies to contractual requirements & are prepared in timely manner.
9. Attending any customer meetings as required.
10. Ensuring that all material and fabrication is certified in accordance with specified requirements.
11. Liaising with the Yard Quality Manager to ensure that the Quality System meets requirements established in the QMW Quality Manual.
12. Ensuring that project audits of the Quality System are undertaken and reported in accordance with approved procedures.
13. Ensuring that Quality records are maintained (e.g. Audit Schedules, Audit Report file, CAR files, etc.).
14. Support and enforce the Compliance/Ethics program as described in the Corporate 'Code of Business Conduct'. Report possible or actual ethic violations to a member of the Regional Compliance Team or to direct Supervisor/Manager. Provide guidance and mentorship for direct reports related to Compliance/Ethics issues. Assist when requested with investigations into compliance/ethics investigations and reports. Maintain confidentiality of ethics issues and those who report possible or actual compliance/ethics issue.
15. Besides the above-listed, shall be responsible for other duties assigned by department manager or the company.
Requirements:
Rich working experience in Construction & Fabrication Industry
Degree in related discipline with good knowledge of fabrication/projects as per codes & standards like AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3/B31.8, API-2A/2B, ASME B&PVC Section-IX/II (Part-C)/ VIII (Div-I, II), API 1104.
Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
15 Years Quality Control / Quality management responsibilities within Offshore Construction / Fabrication / Projects.
Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Materials Science or relevant.
Certifications: Lead QMS Auditor; Welding Inspection: AWS-CWI/SCWI or CSWIP3.1/3.2; NDT Level-II/III; Coating: NACE / BGAS / FROTIO.
