QA/QC Engineer (Civil)
Mandatory Qualification:
- B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering only. Other degrees than Civil Engineering will not be accepted.
- A valid CSWIP 3.2 or AWS Sr. Welding Inspection Certificate (CWI), BGAS-CSWIP Grade 1 or NACE Level II qualification, with at least two years of post-certification experience.
- NDT Level II certification in RT and UT at minimum. NDT qualifications in relevant methods shall be in accordance with applicable corporate quality standards.
- Certified QMS Lead Auditor in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, with at least two years of post-training experience.
Experience:
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer or Client Representative, leading multidisciplinary QC inspection teams for inspection and testing activities on offshore oil & gas process platforms and subsea pipelines, including manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and offshore installation/laying phases.
- Additional experience and knowledge in offshore-related activities, including sour service applications, cladded piping, CRA pipelines, welding, NDT, repair works, painting, coating, internal lining, Monel sheathing, and related disciplines.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work undertaken by contractors, subcontractors, vendors, manufacturers, service providers, and third-party inspection agencies complies with project specifications, applicable engineering standards, international codes and standards, and contractual QA/QC requirements.
- Ensure approved project QA/QC documentation is effectively implemented at worksite level, including Quality Plans, Quality Control Procedures, Quality Control Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and inspection checklists.
- Lead and maintain a collaborative QC inspection team approach across fabrication, construction site, and offshore installation quality control activities.
- Monitor contractor and vendor implementation of approved quality requirements and address deficiencies. Oversee the quality of inspection personnel activities on a daily basis.
- Act as a focal point for resolving fabrication and site-related quality control issues in consultation with senior quality management.
- Control and follow up on technical deviations, material substitutions, and changes to inspection and testing requirements at fabrication facilities, construction sites, and installation locations.
- Manage and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring implementation of required corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure contractors and vendors properly prepare, manage, and maintain inspection and test records, including compilation of test packs and quality dossiers for project submission.
- Provide daily quality status reports and updates to the Senior Quality Engineer.
