QAQC Engineer (Mechanical)

Airswift is seeking for QAQC Engineer (Mechanical) to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor.
Professional training and certifications in Welding, NDT, Painting, Insulation, Refractory, or related disciplines.
Membership or certification from internationally recognized institutions such as ASQ-CMQ/OE, MCQI-CQP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction of major Greenfield or Brownfield Process Plants, including Refineries, NGL/LNG Plants, Petrochemical Complexes, or similar facilities within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven experience working with major EPIC Contractors and/or End Users in a similar role, with overall responsibility for QA/QC activities related to Mechanical Construction and Commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC requirements, testing methodologies, and acceptance criteria for both static and rotating equipment within large-scale Oil & Gas projects.
Comprehensive understanding and application of international codes, standards, and industry practices, including:
- ASME
- TEMA
- ASTM
- API
- ISO
- BS EN
- IOGP
- Shell DEP
- MESC Specifications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
Hands-on experience in the preparation, review, and approval of:
- Quality Plans (QP)
- Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
- Quality Control Procedures (QCP)
- Material Approval Requests (MAR)
- Extensive experience in inspection and testing activities for:
Static Equipment
- Columns and Vessels (including internals)
- Heat Exchangers
- Coalescers
- Storage Tanks
- Boilers
- Heaters
- Flare Packages
Rotating Equipment
- Pumps
- Compressors
- Air Fin Coolers (AFCs)
- Mixers
- Fans and Blowers
- HVAC Systems
- Proven experience in field erection, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Demonstrated capability in managing discipline inspectors, coordinating inspection and testing activities, and establishing and monitoring discipline KPIs.
Experience in the development and implementation of:
- Quality Surveillance Programs
- Completion Management Systems (CMS)
- Inspection and Test Records (ITRs)
- Technical Integrity Verification (TIV)
- Flawless Project Delivery (FPD)
- Project Quality Health Check (PQHC) Programs
Experienced in conducting:
- Contractor pre-qualification assessments
- QMS audits
- Technical compliance reviews
- Quality walkthroughs
- Vendor and contractor audits
- Ability to resolve complex QA/QC issues and disputes arising from differing interpretations of project specifications, technical requirements, and scope of work among stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

- Implement and enforce the elements of the Quality Management System requirements applicable to your function.
- Exposed to Construction Site and Prevailing Climatic Conditions at least 50% of time.
- Ensure own safety and the safety of others who may be affected by the organization's business, whether the activity is under direct control or not.
