Position Overview
This QA QC Inspector opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with experience in inspection activities on major industrial construction projects. The QA QC Inspector will support quality control delivery across electrical or instrumentation installation works on a petrochemical site environment in Antwerp. This QA QC Inspector position offers the chance to contribute to installation verification, testing, completion activities, and quality documentation on a fast-paced project. The QA QC Inspector will play an important role in maintaining installation quality standards and supporting successful project execution.
Role Context
This position is based on a petrochemical construction project in Antwerp, Belgium, at an industrial site environment. The role supports inspection activities during project execution and mechanical completion phases, with focus on either electrical or instrumentation works. This opportunity is fully site-based and requires close involvement with installation, testing, and punch list activities.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect electrical installation works including cable tray and ladder, cable pulling, glanding and termination, earthing and bonding; or inspect instrumentation installation works including hook-ups, impulse lines and tubing, and instrument cable and termination works.
Witness and record relevant testing activities such as continuity, insulation resistance, point-to-point checks, field calibration checks, and loop checks.
Verify installations against issued construction drawings, P&IDs, cable schedules, termination diagrams, hook-up drawings, instrument index, and project specifications.
Prepare and sign off inspection test records, test packages, and quality documentation in line with project requirements.
Raise and track non-conformance reports and support resolution of quality issues identified during inspection activities.
Support mechanical completion walkdowns and punch list management to help drive quality close-out.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical QC inspection or instrumentation QC inspection positions.
Essential:
Experience within petrochemical, oil and gas, or chemical plant construction environments.
Essential:
VCA VOL certification.
Essential:
Working proficiency in English.
Essential:
EU/EEA work eligibility
Desirable:
CompEx or ATEX awareness for electrical inspection activities.
Desirable:
CompEx or IECEx certification for instrumentation inspection activities.
