Job Title: Quality Coordinator
Duration: 6 months (Subject for extension)
Schedule: Mon - Fri
Location: Perth CBD
This opportunity is based within an integrated project team and supports the delivery of a major mining project. The role will focus on supplier quality surveillance, inspection coordination and collaboration with engineering, procurement, suppliers and project stakeholders. This position offers strong technical scope across ITP review, welding documentation, inspection reporting, non-conformance management and MDR review, with a direct impact on project quality performance and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate supplier surveillance, inspections and third-party inspection resources.
- Review ITPs, technical procedures, welding documentation and inspection reports.
- Oversee hold/witness points, FAT, welding, coatings and final inspections.
- Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and inspection releases.
- Review progressive and final MDRs.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and resolve issues with Package Engineers.
- Report quality status, risks and key findings to project stakeholders.
- Drive consistent quality practices and continuous improvement across the project.
Required Education:
- Relevant engineering, inspection or quality qualification, or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
- Around 10+ years of experience in supplier quality, surveillance, inspection coordination or quality engineering
- Experience supporting supplier surveillance and inspection activities within a project environment
- Experience managing non-conformances, corrective actions and inspection release processes
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inspection test plans, inspection processes and non-conformance management
- Ability to coordinate supplier surveillance, inspections and third-party inspection resources
- Capability to review technical procedures, welding documentation, inspection reports and progressive and final MDRs
- Experience overseeing hold points, witness points, FAT, welding, coatings and final inspections
- Strong technical judgement, stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated client and project team environment
- Ability to monitor supplier quality performance, resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Inspection, welding, coatings, NDT or auditing certification
