This opportunity supports reinforced concrete engineering studies on an LNG project in the USA within a major engineering and project delivery environment. The role focuses on reinforced concrete structures, structural foundations and water treatment structures, with strong emphasis on multidisciplinary coordination, drawing review and compliance with project standards. This position offers the chance to contribute to complex civil engineering deliverables while working closely with remote delivery teams and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the proper execution of reinforced concrete engineering studies across concrete structures, equipment and structural foundations, and water treatment structures including basins and tanks.
Manage and coordinate interfaces with other disciplines to ensure full technical integration of items such as steel embeds, anchor bolts and anchoring parts.
Incorporate supplier requirements into drawings, including openings, levels and positioning, as well as requirements from other disciplines.
Coordinate effectively with Oil & Gas disciplines including Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Equipment, Safety and Environmental teams.
Monitor and check reinforced concrete drawings produced by a remote operations centre.
Ensure compliance with contract codes, project standards and engineering best practices, particularly for reinforcement detailing and steel schedules.
Organise and lead meetings required for the execution of the studies with delivery teams and suppliers.
Provide reporting to project and departmental management.
Verify drawings for consistency with calculation notes and technical interfaces.
Maintain information traceability and compliance with document control requirements, including comment and revision tracking through MASTER documents.
Check title blocks and numbering of calculation notes and drawings in line with company procedures.
Monitor consistency between civil engineering drawings and other discipline documents while maintaining updated commented master files.
Track outstanding issues and support prioritisation of project modifications.
Review study feasibility and prepare comments on deliverables produced by the wider team.
Required Experience:
Proven experience in civil engineering reinforced concrete structures.
Experience managing and coordinating interfaces across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Experience working with Oil & Gas project disciplines and integrating civil deliverables with wider project requirements.
Experience leading or coordinating teams in a remote delivery model.
Experience reviewing engineering drawings and maintaining consistency across project documentation.
Required Skills:
Technical expertise in formwork and reinforcement detailing.
Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete engineering studies and drawing review processes.
Ability to manage team activities, organise dedicated meetings and support remote collaboration.
Ability to work in accordance with project standards, engineering rules and quality assurance procedures.
Strong coordination skills across Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Equipment, Safety and Environmental disciplines.
Ability to monitor project developments, prioritise modifications and manage outstanding issues.
Capability to verify feasibility of studies and provide technical comments on drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Proficiency in BricsCAD.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
Proficiency in Navisworks.
