Airswift is searching for a Responsible for Safety & Environment on Site to join a major offshore SURF development project in Suriname.

This position will be responsible for ensuring the highest HSE standards onboard installation vessels during offshore construction and installation activities, acting as the key interface between offshore operations and the project team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all offshore activities.
  • Monitor offshore installation operations, including pipelay, flexible installation, subsea works, lifting operations, pre-commissioning, and testing activities.
  • Ensure approved procedures are implemented and manage any required changes through the Management of Change process.
  • Coordinate SIMOPS/COMOPS activities and support emergency response preparedness onboard.
  • Review operational reports, identify non-conformances, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide regular reporting and communication to the project management team. 

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with strong exposure to SURF projects.
  • Previous experience in major EPCI developments.
  • Extensive knowledge of offshore HSE management and SIMOPS.
  • Construction and offshore installation background.
  • Experience with rigid pipelay, flexible lay, riser installation, and subsea structures installation.
  • Previous experience onboard rigid lay vessels, PLSVs, or similar offshore construction vessels.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken. 

Certifications

  • BOSIET / T-BOSIET / FOET
  • Offshore medical certification (OGUK or equivalent)
  • Seaman's Book
  • CA-EBS OPITO
  • Additional HSE and emergency management training is highly desirable. 

Assignment Details

  • Offshore rotational position (35 days on / 35 days off)
  • Offshore Suriname
  • Estimated start: February 2027
  • Long-term assignment through the end of 2028, with potential extension.
